Chapters Out of Gods Play Book - Chapter 4

WALKING THE WALK

A persons Manner of walking is called their "gait". It involves your rate of movement, balance and your coordination of muscles. The mechanics of walking simply stated is your heel strikes the ground, the entire foot then comes in contact with the ground, and the heel lifts placing weight on the ball of the foot while the big toe provides the propulsion for the lift and swing!

Similar words for walk, or walking are to stroll, to saunter or wander; or it can mean to march, mosey or roam. One can tell what a person represents by their walk! You may determine someone's personality by their walk. Our gait is the face of who we really are. It is the biggest 'tell' of them all. Examples are, fast walkers are usually more outgoing, anxious walkers veer to the left avoiding the target ahead. Those who saunter are confident with their heads held high. Also a slow and easy gait shows confidence, and self assuredness. Then there are the harried walkers, their gaits reveal their detail oriented mind-set! The point is, our walk is who we are, where we are and what we do!

Genesis 3 tells us Adam and Eve "heard the sound of the Lord God walking"...another translation says that they "heard the sound of Elohim going to and fro in the garden in the wind of the day". Here we see God's gait, His walking has a sound, his movement in the wind.

Adam and Eve heard and felt God. In our walk we need good walking shoes. Ephesians 6:15 says your feet shod or fitted with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace!!

What does your walk sound like?

Keep in mind, when you are walking you never have both of your feet on the ground...food for thought. 2 Corinthians 5:7 Paul says "we walk by faith, not by sight". Our stride is our walk of faith! To have a stride is to walk with progress or to walk towards a goal. Our walk reveals how we deal with problems, struggles and difficulties. To take something in stride means we will walk calmly and do not allow these things to influence us, on what and where we are going!

Find your rhythm in your walk. Learn how to pace yourselves. Our walk is who we are, do we just plod along, or do we walk on or over things...over people?? We obtain GRACE as we walk, the way we live and move through life.

What does your path look like?

When and where we walk we create a path. The Holy Spirit works as our egress, our exit into or out.

Your walk is your pilgrimage! So we must run our own race, find your orbit, your metron, your sphere of influence! Take up your bed and walk! Better said, get out of your comfort zone, your snuggly beds of religion and risk free Christianity and walk the walk!

One must walk to follow or lead. One must walk to pursue. Walk like you are going somewhere! Walk tall, stand tall! Walk in the newness of life!

Our walk also displays with whom we have aligned ourselves . What happens when we walk with someone is that we make a heart connection. Amos how can two walk together except if they agreed?

Walk the walk!

As you walk, you live...so live with truth! Our walk reveals to all, our life style, it is also called walking in the spirit (Galatians 5:16)

It is called choosing the narrow path (Matthew 7:13) enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction and there are many who will take it. But mall is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life and only few find it!

Find your walk!
Walk the walk!
Don't talk unless
You can walk the walk!!!

Ephesians 5:2 - Ephesians 5:8 - Colossians 4:5 - Hebrews 12:1 - John 1:4 - Matthew 7:13
